Phone calls

Bring your phone calls into your memory.

No app can record calls on your behalf: that’s an iPhone and Android limitation. But many phones can now do it themselves, announcing it to both parties. Capta turns those recordings into a transcript and summary.

iPhone

With iOS 18.1 or later, where available: tap the record button during the call. Both parties hear an announcement. The recording is saved in the Notes app: open it, share the audio and choose Capta.

Google Pixel

In Google’s Phone app, where available: tap Record during the call. Open the recording from your call history and share it with Capta.

Samsung Galaxy

In Samsung’s Phone app tap Record call, or turn on automatic recording. If you allow it, Capta notices new recordings and asks whether to transcribe them.

Other phones

If your phone saves call recordings as audio files, share them with Capta from the Share menu. If your phone doesn’t record calls, Capta can’t do it instead.
